Horsemanship training
The horsemanship component has been specifically developed for Horses Helping Humans facilitators by Mandy Probyn from Mandy Probyn Equine Connection.
Mandy brings extensive experience in natural horsemanship, horse behaviour and safe groundwork practices. Her training helps facilitators build the confidence and practical skills needed to work calmly, safely and effectively with their horses.
The horsemanship program includes:
Professional online training videos
Step-by-step groundwork instruction
Six practical horsemanship tasks
Video assessments and personalised feedback
A comprehensive horsemanship training manual
Support throughout the assessment and certification process
An understanding of the psychological purpose behind each activity
The program is not simply about completing horse-handling tasks.
Each activity connects to the core Horses Helping Humans principles of healthy boundaries, calm and assertive communication, emotional regulation, respect and trust.
The training also helps facilitators understand how their own body language and energy affect the horse’s response. This is essential when safely and professionally delivering an Equine Assisted Learning program.
Mandy’s specialised training ensures that both the facilitator and their horses are properly prepared to deliver the Horses Helping Humans program to a consistently high standard.
Hands-on workshops with Sue Spence are also available on the Gold Coast throughout the year.
Payment plans are available.
